Bikes n Trikes Rc 1st Charity Bash

Bikes n Trikes are a small family orientated rally club, whose members bravely decided to put on a Charity Bash in aid of Meningitis Trust, at ‘The Royal Oak’ Bridgnorth Rd Rudge Heath
The members worked hard to organise there first bash, and with not having done anything like this before, they did a great job, it was as laid back as could be with the sort of atmosphere you get when you are with a bunch of mates sat round a campfire.
As with any first event the worry of how it will turn out will be there right up till the end of it, but they needn’t of worried, with a steady stream of people turning up all afternoon,
Entertainment was headlined by ‘The Black Roses’ led by Danny, this was there first public gig and they did a fine job, covering some modern rock covers.
Spider had his head, chest stomach and pits shaved in aid of charity, he started off saying only head and chest, with people making donations to pull the strips off (I couldn’t resist either), he eventually let them do his stomach as long as people donated more to the charity (its funny how inflicting pain and suffering on others brings out the generosity in people), and after being offered £15 for each armpit he couldn’t refuse to have them done either, which I believe he is regretting at this very moment. Fair play to the bloke he took it without (hardly) screaming, and raised a shed load of money in the process, a raffle, well three raffles to be precise, were run, the generosity of the people involved in offering prizes for the raffle was amazing, with Celtic jewellery from hnoss jewellery, hand carved leather from shadowdragon leather, and clothing from Smudge online being but a few of the items.
For the children there was face painting and an Easter egg hunt, with a fantastic prize for one of the lucky gold egg winners.
A Fantastic £516 was raised for the Meningitis Trust so a big thank you goes out to Bikes n Trikes members Ria & Shaggy, Kat & Rob, Spider & Linda. Dave & Lainy and Silver, also to all those who contributed gifts to the raffle, and the generosity of the people who turned up and gave generously.
