Review

As I walked in the first hall, shock and fear set in when I realised that I was not wearing my Burberry cap and scarf, there were tricked out Vauxhalls and Vw’s everywhere. With the stereos shifting more air than the exhaust do (only just though).
My fears we allayed as I travelled further in, with hotrods bikes and drag racers becoming visible. A sigh of relief and loosening grip on my valuables soon followed.
Onto the bikes, first I came across the ace cafe stand with 4 bikes on it, A T140 Triton Café Racer, a Triumph Thruxton Hinckley Special, a 1979 Triumph Bonneville Flat Track Castrol R T140 Meriden Special (which also seems to have the longest bike name in the world) and finally The Diverse Low Rider an 883 sportster powered street fighter, all 4 bikes looked like real honest used bikes rather than pristine examples which personally I prefer.
An Aprilia RSVR with a Wizard of Oz theme amazed everybody, it was truly awesome, ok I admit, its not the rufty tufteist of themes, but non the less, it was amazing, the though and work that went into it must have been immense from the red slippers at the back of the seat to the images of Dorothy and the others inside the witches crystal ball, and each side of the bike each dedicated to either good or evil, I loved it next to it was A white GSXR with a red skull and mask theme, both the were painted by Paul Walters at ‘Paul Walters Airspray Artist’
The next line up of bikes consisted of a 1340 Evo called ‘No School Chopper’ A nice modern retro bike with whitewalls that completed the theme, a Tidy fatboy sat ween that and a splendid VS1400 Intruder Streetfighter sporting a shortened frame a modified sportster tank with black paint with a drip paintjob. A candy green Triumph Bobber and ‘Anubis’ V8 trike completed the line up.
There were bikes a plenty of the Supertwins stand, supertwins is a racing association for motorcycles with 1 twin cylinder engine, the bike here ranged from Buells through to Suzuki TL1000’s all fresh from the drag strips..
Bicycles are up next real cool bicycle not like your old Grifter or BMX, custom bicycles with Girders, fat wheels with whitewall tyres, even trike versions, But the ultimate was a Tricycle with hydraulics to raise and lower the front frame section and a handlebars made from chain.
Hotrods and Drag racers were a plenty, and contrary to popular belief, Bikers can also be Petrolheads, customising is customising, regardless of whether it’s a bike, a scooter, a car or aeroplane (although I think its unlikely we will see many ‘Chopped’ aeroplanes) I cannot possible cover all the vehicles that were there so I will just choose my favourites, so here goes the best there was a brown B reg Nova with bubble window film a 12 foot spoiler and more lights than Blackpool,  Thankfully nothing that bad was there.
My all out favourite is 33 Plymouth Devon Coupe by Burnham Autos it has a 6.6ltr Pontiac V8 engine, everything about this car was just ‘right’.
A pristine VW bus next to an equally pristine Karman Ghia sat there both very understated in neutral colours, soon followed by a pair of Lamborghini Gallardo’s in bright orange and bright yellow – gorgeous
A 37 Ford Roadster with a 5.7ltr Corvette engine riding on airbags and paintind in Ferrari Rosso red
On the Drag car from a 1964 Corvette stingray caught my eye which had it debut at this show, with a 7ltr engine with twin turbos pushing out over 1500bhp, this is likely to be making a name for itself in the near future.
