My trip to the NEC this year was to prove more interesting than I thought, mainly because that 'Rude Boy' JonnyFP was with me and he forced me to have my photo taken with every single model their, as you can see by the pics in gallery 1, I was very reluctant to take part in such an un-pc pastime, now I am a custom Man through and through, so if you want to know about all the new bikes, then i suggest you pay a visit to the show. because all those sports bike look the same to me ;-) .
There were a few exceptions to this rule, with a bike on the Kawasaki stand with real unusual headlights on it (see Gal 6) and the triumphs were looking in fine form, Now I was more than pleasantly surprised by BMW, now I have always seen them as old man bikes, (yes I know the irony of me having a trike built around a BMW engine comes to light here) BUT
there latest range of bikes look a lot more adventurous in the styling department. so anyway did I mention that there were models there, as well as a whole host of other stalls, but i was disappointed in the products that were on offer, it did seem very 'same old, same old' and nothing new really jumped out at me.
As usual the Carol Nash Stand was full of 'Interesting' machinery and by viewing the galleries you will see what i mean, especially as a lot of it is indescribable.
Now the Highlight of the show was the 'Custom Extreme' Back Street Heroes stand full of custom bikes of all varieties, topping the bill was 'Manhatten' by Destiny Cycles, with bikes ranging from 99Problems (the Rusty Bike by Boneshaker Choppers). to a wild TRIBSA, and everything inbetween, I couldnot partake in the lush food offered on the stand as I am still on my diet errr I mean lifestyle change.
Vanessa Upton proceeded to model around the bikes, and what a proffesional she was, she put all the other models to shame (especially the sausage girls) can she Pout - Hell Yes, and I will have to end my brief write-up here as I am to shaky to write any more after re looking at the pics of Vanessa...
There will be a non-shaky real write-up in Back Street Heroes soon
