Keiths FJ1200
This is my yamaha fj12003cv drag styled lowrider, apparently featured in BSH magazine ( blue, let me have a copy please......). It has a one-off, totally unique hardtail wraparound style frame, streched tank, slab yokes, rearsets, one-off throttle, custom paintwork [by spellbound art]. the front suspension, wheels, and brakes, are standard fj1200, and the seat is internally sprung to provide at least a little rider comfort!
The low bars and rearsets give a "tucked" riding stance, which helps when the throttle is opened in anger. this bike is considerably lighter than standard, and is rapid! the handling isnt at all bad, but i
have to remember its a hardtail lowrider and not really designed for scratching round the A roads.
i will be having her re-wired very soon to sort out the electrical gremlins that have crept in and also give her a bloody good service and clean up.
i am hoping to enter her in a few shows this year, but her role for me is to be ridden and not hidden, this is the first hardtail that i have owned and i love it, excellent feeling whilst being so low and going at speed..............
when i brought her (march 2007) i brought her back from sunderland which is a 240 mile trip to bedford and its the first time that i have ever ridden a hardtail any distance and i can honestly
say i thought i had been butt fucked by a elephant, but i love her
keith..............KKM
