Sids BMW R80RT

Before I bought the Beema which is the R80RT, I had a Suzuki RF600, it was in lovely condition. (see pic) It went like a rocket but, when I went to see a friend of mine in Watford where I was born, by the time I got there, my arms, back & arse were killing me! I only had it for 3 weeks, also the chain snapped on me in the first week so I wasn't too impressed, especially as I was just about to overtake an artic on the A38 at 90mph! I went back to the shop where I bought it from & asked if I could look at what else they had in stock, they had no prob, so I had a wander & saw the bm hidden in the corner out of sight, so I had a look & it was in great nick & they did a swap for they RF. When i picked it up (not literally!) I was all over the road, it felt like a cruise liner compered to the RF, but so comfy it was untrue! I used it everyday for work, no matter what the weather as it hasd great protection from the elements plus heated grips. (whaddya mean, Pussy!) After a while, like most people, I got bored & wanted something else but couldn't decide what. I put it up for sale but didn't get a lot of interest probably cos it's classed as 'an old mans bike' so my other half 'Kate' said I should have a hobby & as we've got a garage, I thought, hmm, I'm gonna have some fun!! I started stripping everything off it but, never would have guessed what a pig the fairing would be or how heavy it was, Jeeze! It went through several stages until I came up with the 'Yellow thing' in the photos. I changed the headlights, bars, seat, exhaust (put straight through slip ons on it) & obviously the colour! It was great fun to ride & definately turned heads with mixed reactions! I couldn't use it for work if I had an early start as it woke the dead & might have upset the neighbours! I sold it 3 weeks ago as we needed some readies & damn, that was hard. The next bike I wanna get is a cruiser, just laid back & lazy, & with a shaft drive! Well I hope i didn't bore the tits off you,& thanks to you Yoda for printing this for me as I'm a useless bastard who can't work the computer properly.
