| Ok where do I start?,,, Right ! this is my VW 1600cc Trike. I've owned her for 4 years and it's gone through a few changes. The first thing I did when I bought my trike was add 3 seater bench to carry a passenger but was mostly used for luggage. 3 years down the line and for some reason the bench seat turned into the local park bench !! whenever outside a pub, so out came the grinder (ooohhh power tools) and away went the bench seat. I had to re-mount the rear mudguards which my hubby hand made at work. As the 2nd MOT was due, took it to the local station to be checked out, can't tell you how chuffed I was when it passed but shot down in flames when my tank decided to spring a leak and park £8 of fuel all over the petrol station floor court as a rather red faced attendant looked on. So off we set for Northants V-Twin and picked up a Harley fat bob tank for under £100 bargain! A quick modification to the trike frame and the new tank was fitted. As I mentioned earlier (not power tools!) the trike went through the last change last winter when the bench seat was gracefully retired, and engine guard with a towing plate & tow bar fitted, a custom re-wire, modified petrol tank and a rack fitted to carry my camping stuff,,,, or so I thought.... On that note due to me using a wheelchair on rally sites, I couldn't fit everything on my rack, so myself and hubby went off in search of a descent sized trailer. We couldn't believe the extortionate prices of the one's we looked at, so I decided if I'm gonna pay out a fair whack, I'm gonna have a custom trailer made in the shape of a coffin - courtesy of a guy called Darren at Trailer's Unlimited in Cannock. I chose a coffin shape as I adore all things Gothic and a love of Vampire's. In all the trailer took 3 week's to build. It has a wall plaque of a vampire on a cross which I bought off e-bay and coffin corner plates, again courtesy of ebay :o) again! (yes I'm addicted). Authentic Coffin fixtures and fittings from a lovely lady from a Funeral Suppliers in Birmingham. The mudguards were made by hubby again and shaped and fitted by Darren. Even though it has a Jockey wheel at the front there is nothing stopping the trailer from tipping up, so Darren came up with the ingenious idea of putting an axle stand bolted at the back on the understand which comes off to be replaced with a number plate whilst towing - genius !! ~ Coffin Trailer - Made by Trailers Unlimited, Unit 17, Cannock Motor Village, Chaseside Drive, Cannock, Staffs, WS11 2GD.
