another day.......

started out fine, then went downhill fast....
My dayshift man took the day off to go to a funeral, So I thinks...Hmmm a taxi outside the house...could do a shift in it and get a bit of extra money.
Started at 4 am and had made about 50 quid or so by 8.30 when the temp gauge takes off like a two bob rocket on guy fox night.
off to the garage to get what I thought was a burst hose replaced to find that just about every taxi in glasgow had broken down as well, and they were all in front of me in the queue.
By two o'clock they put it on a ramp, only to find that it was the water jacket round the oil cooler that had cracked and they didnt have one in the stores....bugger
So, its still in the garage, my nightshift driver hasnt got a cab so the money I made today has gone as he wont pay me , my day shift driver will lose another shift on the thursday as its still in the garage....So all in all it cost me about fifty quid to get up at 4 am and go to work......bugger, bugger, bugger !!
