You sure you are in the Shetlands? Not the Outer Hebrides just off the Falklands? It's just that the tasty little weathergurlie on Anglia TV was telling me that all down the Eastern Coast was something like -1 to -2 down the Eastern coast from Scotland to East Anglia and we would be under about 10cm of white stuff by Sunday! (I might've misheard as I was conentrating on what Amanda Houston was looking like than actually what she was saying! Phwooorrr!).

If you draw a straight line west from Moscow (russia not scotland) and a dtraight line North from London. Where they intersect then you will find us at 60 degrees North.
We have glorious sunshine at the moment after a night of rain. Temp is just a bit cool to be wearing a T-shirt outside for more than 30 minutes, otherwise all is good.
On friday the temp was 7 degrees in the shade!!

Positively balmy then, eh, Sheltie? I was lovely and warm this afternoon - shovelling snow for an hour.

That's it! The whole of the UK will come to a grinding halt! We've had approx 2" of snow! How can we cope?

The chickens drinking water was frozen again this morning, so I emptied it and put warm water in. Both of them piled in getting a drink - think they really like warm water.... wonder if I should try them with tea ?

Hey ! I'll send them round to crap all over your back garden too !
Unfortunately, they are layers so there's no meat on them anyway....
