Tony Reynolds was born in London England in the 1970s, when most kids discover the joy of scribbling walls, Tony was painting full on murals on the walls of his bedroom at his parents house.engrave3
From a very early age he taught himself to draw, paint and airbrush. The enterprising little man would draw cartoon characters and sell them to his friends at school, Tony hated school and realised he would rather make a living doing something artistic and creative other than anything else.

As a young boy, Tony would spend hours in his father’s and his granddad sheds marvelling at all the tools and contraptions and very quickly learned how most tools could be an extension of the hands. He very quickly discovered that by hitting things he could carve various materials and transform them into whatever crazy designs he could imagine. He began with wood, progressed to stone and eventually began working with metal.
He has worked hard is whole life doing a variety of different occupations, all of which have involved some form of art and/or design. He has been a carpenter, a boat-builder, a graphic designer, a Trompe L’oeil artist, and interior and exterior designer and constructor and has recently started designing and building motorbikes.
Tony hung up his building tools and began solely concentrengrave2ating on tattooing but found the lifestyle to social and unfulfilling, then a friend suggested he try engraving metal. When asked why he gave up tattooing and started engraving he said…
“People scream, metal doesn’t” he also said “you the older I get, the less I like people, that’s why I love being locked in my man-cave, listening to good music and hitting things pretty”, and thus began Tony’s passion for engraving.
He says “I began using the wrong tools, just trying to get the desired finish as quick as possible.”engrave1

“It didn’t take me long to realise that with an art form as old as this, all you need is a hammer and chisel, patience, imagination and dedication”.

“I’m not lucky or naturally talented”says Tony “I’ve worked really hard all my life to get where I am now, it takes practice and dedication to get really good at
something. I constantly push myself to work harder and do better, I don’t believe in a god given gift, anyone can do anything if they work hard enough at it.”
Tony the engraver specialises in engraving custom parts for custom rides, including club logos or any unique or individual one-off designs.
